Sheila O'Neill
Sheila O’Neill (BA, BEd) is a member of Qalipu Mi’Kmaq First Nation. Following an extensive career in post-secondary education, she is currently employed as Indigenous relations manager with Horizon Naval Engineering in St. John’s. Sheila is the co-author of My Indian (2021) and Suliewey (2023) with Chief Mi’sel Joe, published by Breakwater Books, and “Newfoundland Mi’kmaw Resistance and Vibrancy in a History of Erasure” (M. Joe, S. O’Neill, J. Thorpe, J. Bound), which was published in the November 2023 edition of The Canadian Historical Review.
