Tony Elliott (Primary Source)
Tony Elliot served with the Royal Marines during the Second World War. He immigrated to Canada after the war, and joined the Canadian Army when the Korean War broke out in the summer of 1950. He was sent to Korea as a tank driver with “C Squadron” of the Lord Strathcona’s Horse. The squadron fought in numerous engagements, including the Battle of Chai-li in May 1951 and Hill 158, where Mr. Elliott was wounded.Please be advised that Memory Project primary sources may deal with personal testimony that reflect the speaker’s recollections and interpretations of events.
