Sharon Dainard
Sharon Lee-Ann Dainard was an Indigenous scholar whose work focused on the Sixties Scoop. At the time of her passing in 2021, she was working on her Master of Arts degree, which focused on the subject. Dainard was herself a child of the Sixties Scoop and spent her life trying to reconnect with her Anishinaabe culture. She was a citizen of the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation. She was a research and teaching assistant with Dr. Niigaan Sinclair. Dainard received a Bachelor of Arts degree (Advanced) from the University of Manitoba.
