Karl H. Doetsch
Dr. Karl H. Doetsch began his studies as an aeronautical engineer in the UK. He earned his PhD in supersonic aerodynamics at Imperial College, London University, and worked on the development of the TSR2 aircraft. In 1968 he relocated to Canada and joined the National Research Council of Canada. He moved from aeronautics to the space sector in 1976. He was involved in the development of the Canadarm and had a leadership role in all of Canada’s principal human space flight projects and the Space Station Program. He has been President of the International Space University and of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute.
