Henri Ouellet
Hailing from Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Henri Ouellet (1938–1999) was a Canadian ornithologist. After earning a doctorate in biosystematics and the ecology of woodpeckers, he became a curator at the National Museum of Natural Sciences in Ottawa. Ouellet is also known for his work standardizing the French names of North American birds and reclassifying Bicknell’s thrush from a subspecies to a species.
