In 1953 Jean Deslauriers heard her at an amateur competition and advised her to study voice, which she did 1953-5 at the École Vincent-d'Indy, and later privately with Laurette Bailly.

    Colin Fox, actor (born 20 November 1938 in Aldershot, ON; died 5 April 2025 in Fergus, ON). Colin Fox was a distinguished character actor who studied English at the University of Western Ontario and attended the National Theatre School in Montreal. He began acting in plays at the Grand Theatre in London, Ontario. In 1966, he performed at Stratford (winning a Tyrone Guthrie Award) and did a stint at the Manitoba Theatre Centre.
