    Danis Goulet, screenwriter, director, filmmaker (born 1977 in La Ronge, SK). Danis Goulet is a Cree-Metis filmmaker who wrote and directed the dystopian science fiction film Night Raiders. Night Raiders was the first Indigenous co-production between Canada and New Zealand.     Darrel James McLeod, author, educator (born 13 July 1957 in Athabasca, AB; died 29 August 2024 in Victoria, BC). Darrel McLeod was an award-winning Nehiyaw (Cree) educator, land claims negotiator and author. He was also an Indigenous leader and advocate. McLeod was a celebrated memoirist who also delved into fiction shortly before his death. His debut memoir, Mamaskatch: A Cree Coming of Age, won the Governor General’s Literary Award for Non-fiction in 2018.
