Dorothy Harley Eber
Dorothy Harley Eber was an author and journalist who dedicated her life to documenting and preserving Inuit oral histories. She also published biographies of Inuit artists. Her first biography was about famed Inuit artist Pitseolak Ashoona. She co-authored a book with Peter Pitseolak, the first Inuit photographer. She was inducted as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2000 in recognition of her work “preserving the history of the Inuit people.”
