Trina Roache
Trina Roache is a Mi’kmaw journalist, historian and educator. She belongs to the Glooscap First Nation in a region of Mi’kma’ki now called Nova Scotia. She’s an assistant professor at the School of Journalism at the University of King’s College, and Research Fellow with the MacEachen Institute for Public Policy. With an MA in History from Dalhousie University, Trina’s academic research has centred the Mi’kmaw connection to traditional homelands to reframe colonial narratives and unsilence the voices of L’nu’k, The People.
