Elizabeth Howell

Elizabeth Howell, Ph.D., is a freelance space journalist in Ottawa. She has reported on Canadian astronaut missions on-site in Kazakhstan and Florida, including Jeremy Hansen's round-the-moon Artemis 2 mission in 2026 — marking the first time a Canadian left low Earth orbit. Howell has written five books, including two with Canadian astronaut Dave Williams. She is a graduate of universities including Carleton University and Athabasca University, and holds academic degrees in the fields of journalism, space studies, history, and Classics.
