Fredrik Stefan Eaton, OC, OOnT, merchant, philanthropist (born 26 June 1938 in Toronto, ON; died 20 February 2021 in Caledon, ON). Eaton was the great-grandson of Timothy Eaton and the he was the former president and chief executive officer of the T. Eaton Company Limited (see Eaton’s).

Career
Fredrik Eaton, was the great-grandson of Timothy Eaton and the grandson of Sir John Craig Eaton. At the conclusion of his university education in 1962, Eaton, following family tradition, gained on-the-job experience within the organization in numerous capacities in both Canada and England (see Eaton’s). From 1977 to 1988 he presided over the continued expansion and consolidation of his great-grandfather's business and assisted in the development of Toronto's Eaton Centre.
He was named High Commissioner for Canada in the United Kingdom in 1991, a post he held until 1994. From 1993 to 2003, Eaton was chancellor of the University of New Brunswick.
