The 52: 52 Women who Transformed Toronto

In partnership with Museum of Toronto, The Canadian Encyclopedia published articles on women featured in the museum’s exhibit The 52: 52 Women who Transformed Toronto. The exhibit, presented from 9 April to 20 December 2025, “[shone] a spotlight on change-makers, rebels, and revolutionaries from Toronto’s past and present,” and reflected the fact that, in 2025, 52 per cent of Toronto’s population were women.
