Randy Bouchard
Randy Bouchard is an ethnographer and ethnohistorian who has a long collaboration with Dr. Dorothy Kennedy. Together, they co-founded the BC Indian Languages Project in 1972 to document and preserve the Indigenous languages of British Columbia. They co-authored Sliammon Life, Sliammon Lands, a study of the Indigenous peoples in the Desolation Sound region. Bouchard and Kennedy also work together as anthropological consultants focused on Aboriginal title and land rights in Western Canada. The pair were instrumental in demonstrating that the Squamish and the Lila'wat First Nations had title interests in the Whistler area, making both nations official cohosts of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
