Janice Dickin
Janice Dickin was chair of the Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board at the University of Calgary and professor emerita of that university’s Faculty of Communications and Culture. Her areas of study included medical history, life writing and Canadian social history. She was author, co-author or editor of several books and articles including Suitable for the Wilds: Letters from Northern Alberta, 1929 -1931 (2006), Great Dames (1997), Harm’s Way: Disasters in Western Canada (2004).
