J.R. Miller
J.R. (Jim) Miller was a Canadian historian who taught at the University of Saskatchewan. Considered a foundational figure in the field of Canadian history, Miller’s work focused on Indigenous-settler relations decades before this became a prominent topic in the study of Canada. Among his many books were several that addressed the issue of residential schools. He was an active member of the Canadian Historical Association, including serving a term as president, and he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.
