Gordon E. Smith

Gordon E. Smith is an Ethnomusicology professor at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He has contributed to multiple publications, and he has served as associate dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and as the director of the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts at Queen’s University. Much of Smith’s recent research has focused on how music and cultural and social practices interact in Mi’kmaw communities on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
