Garry Lindberg
Garry Martin Lindberg was born in Rimbey, Alberta, in 1941. He studied at the University of Alberta where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics with distinction, and at Cambridge in England where he completed his Doctor of Philosophy in engineering mechanics. While working with the National Research Council of Canada, Lindberg played a major role in the development of the Canadarm. In 1989 he joined the Canadian Space Agency and later rose to the position of vice-president of research and applications. He has been listed by Marquis Who’s Who as a noteworthy aeronautical engineer and government official.
