The National Assembly (Assemblée Nationale) is the unicameral provincial legislature of Québec. Following the abolition of the legislative council of Québec in 1968, the legislative assembly became the National Assembly. It includes all provincially elected members of the governing and opposition parties. Its procedures are comparable to those of the federal Parliament .
