Churchill, MB, incorporated as a town in 1997, population 899 (2016 census), 813 (2011 census). The town of Churchill is located at the mouth of the Churchill River on
the southwest shore of Hudson Bay. The river was named for Lord Churchill (later the first Duke of Marlborough).
The Pas, Manitoba, incorporated as a town in 1912, population 5,368 (2016 census), 5,364 (2011 census). The town of The Pas is located on the south bank of the Saskatchewan River, about 60 km northwest of where the river enters Cedar Lake.
