(Thelma) Kerrine Wilson. Pianist, organist, teacher, b Winnipeg 21 Jun 1946; AMM 1963, LMM 1968, B MUS (Manitoba) 1969. Kerrine Wilson studied piano in Winnipeg with Jean Broadfoot, at the Banff School of Fine Arts with Boris Roubakine in 1962 and Pierre Souvairan in 1963, and at the University of Manitoba 1966-9 with William Aide and Leonard Isaacs. As a piano teacher and accompanist, in the 1960s she performed in a trio with her brothers Eric and Carlisle and in 1988 accompanied Eric in recitals in New York and Indianapolis. She served as president of the Junior Musical Club of Winnipeg (1975-7), of the Wednesday Morning Musicale (1981-3), and of the Winnipeg chapter of the Manitoba Registered Music Teachers Association (1986-8). She has adjudicated music festival classes in Manitoba and Ontario, and in 1990 became organist-choirmaster of Harrow United Church in Winnipeg, then served in the same capacity at First Lutheran Church, Winnipeg, from 1997. Kerrine Wilson occasionally gives organ recitals, eg with Eric Wilson, in Winnipeg. She has also served on the board of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, Winnipeg.
