David Alexander Colville, painter (born 24 Aug 1920 in Toronto, Ontario died 16 July 2013 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia). Alex Colville moved with his family to Amherst, NS, in 1929 and studied at Mount Allison (1938-42).

Jordi Bonet, painter, muralist, sculptor (b at Barcelona, Spain 7 May 1932; d at Montréal 25 Dec 1979). Bonet met violence early in life as his native city suffered greatly during the Spanish Civil War.
From 1927 to 1930 he lived on Île d'Orléans, Qué, painting the life of the Québec habitants with fresh insight. Having established a studio in Montréal in 1930, he survived by teaching and taking commercial art work.
Ali Pourfarrokh, choreographer and ballet director (b at Kermanshah, Iran 27 Nov 1938). As artistic director of the Alberta Ballet Company from 1988 to 1998, he played a major role in giving the troupe a fresh image.
Alexander Young Jackson, CC, painter (born 3 October 1882 in Montréal, QC; died 5 April 1974 in Kleinburg, ON). A Companion of the Order of Canada and recipient of a medal for lifetime achievement from the Royal Canadian Academy, A.Y. Jackson was a leading member of the Group of Seven and helped to remake the visual image of Canada.
Andrew (Andy) Jones, actor, writer (b at St John's 15 Jan 1948). Andy Jones studied drama at the universities of Toronto and Alberta, acting in campus productions.
Yvette Brind'Amour, actor and theatre director (b at Montréal 1918; d there 1992). Trained as a dancer, she went to Paris after the World War II to study drama with René Simon and Charles Dullin.

Augustus Frederick Kenderdine, painter (b at Manchester, Eng 31 Mar 1870; d at Saskatoon 3 Aug 1947). With James Henderson, he was the most significant painter in Saskatchewan before 1950. He arrived at Lashburn to farm in 1907 and began recording prairie life in his paintings.
Fernand Leduc, painter (born 4 July 1916 in Viauville, QC; died 28 January 2014 in Montréal, QC). A seminarist with the Frères maristes, Fernand Leduc entered the École des beaux-arts de Montréal in 1938. After graduation in 1943, he left the church and shortly after became a member of the Contemporary Arts Society.
