Nancy (Fraser) Vogan. Educator. b Moncton, NB, 22 Mar 1945; BA music (Mount Allison) 1967, M MUS music education (ESM) 1969, PH D music education (ESM) 1979. She taught music in the public schools of New Brunswick and Ontario and also in classes at Keuka College, Keuka Park, NY prior to joining the faculty of Mount Allison University in 1972. There she has taught courses in music education and music appreciation and coordinated the integrated program in music and education. Vogan is active in the fields of music education and Canadian studies as a speaker, clinician, and member of several regional and national boards. A major research interest in the history of music and music education in Canada has resulted in several publications including her book with J. Paul GreenMusic Education in Canada: A Historical Account (Toronto 1991). She is a contributor to EMC. Her brother Wayne Vogan, a vocal coach and accompanist, has worked for Canada Opera Piccola, Chautauqua Opera, and Opera East, and in 1987 joined the music staff of the COC.
