Rosabelle Jones (b Smith). Pianist, harpsichordist, librettist, teacher, b Truro, NS, 26 Jul 1922, d Dec 1995; Licentiate (Mount Allison Conservatory) 1942, B MUS (Mount Allison) 1946. Rosabelle Jones was a pupil of Max Pirani in Toronto in 1947 and Yvonne Lefebure in Paris in 1949.

Rosabelle Jones (b Smith). Pianist, harpsichordist, librettist, teacher, b Truro, NS, 26 Jul 1922, d Dec 1995; Licentiate (Mount Allison Conservatory) 1942, B MUS (Mount Allison) 1946. Rosabelle Jones was a pupil of Max Pirani in Toronto in 1947 and Yvonne Lefebure in Paris in 1949. She performed with her husband, Kelsey Jones, as duo -pianist and duo -harpsichordist, in public recital and on CBC radio. She also helped form the Saint John Symphony Orchestra. The couple moved to Montreal, where she taught privately 1954-ca 1970. As a librettist, she provided the texts for many of Kelsey Jones' works, notably the chamber opera Sam Slick (1967). Her career was cut short after a 1974 car accident resulted in her becoming a paraplegic.
